In August 2001, Duffy's Educational Resources incorporated their small business of providing a hands-on Reading method to our students. Since that time we have reached children with autism and developmental delays from all around the globe. That’s because we are completely committed to bringing the world of Reading to our Visual Learners. The President of the company, Jill Duffy through years of trial designed Reading Rocks in her own Special Needs Classroom. Word spread quickly about her children learning to read so effortlessly. The demand for our product then quickly grew to be more than we could possibly produce without some professional help. Luckily, we were able to find and work with a number of terrific people, all whom are absolutely dedicated to our special needs population. Pictured below is the founder and president, Jill Duffywith Physical Therapist Karen Griffenkranz. Jill grew up on Candlewood Isle in Connecticut and received her first teaching certificates from that state as well. She went on to become both a Regular Education Teacher as well as a Special Educator. Jill has taught in Connecticut, for the Department of Defense in Spain, and in Florida. She has received a number of awards, one of which she is pictured in below, receiving her Teacher of the Year Award for Region One, in Jacksonville Florida. Jill sits on a number of School Advisory Committees, and is on the Selection Committee for Duval County Teacher of the Year. Through Jill’s constant belief that every child can learn to read, you can now find children as far away as Singapore, Israel, and Australia learning to read through her design. Also pictured below are some photos of our graphic designer Beth Voils, whom has contributed so much of her creative talent to our corporation. Her unparalleled patience and optimism keep our mission alive! Also there is a picture of Joe Sabol holding up a cover of our workbook "fresh off the press".
